Thank you for your interest in supporting the Scandinavian Section at UCLA. The Scandinavian Section focuses on the literatures, cultures and languages of the Nordic region: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Students have opportunities to explore the rich cultural legacy of the region, its history and its languages both on the undergraduate and graduate levels.
All gifts, large and small, are welcome! You can choose to contribute to specific funds that have already been set up in the department. These include:
- Chair’s Discretionary Fund: An extremely valuable source of funds for our Section, permitting flexible, timely, and effective responses to the challenges of maintaining a world-class teaching and research environment. It directly supports many important initiatives that are unique to our Section and have a wide-ranging impact on our students, faculty and campus community.
- Scandinavian Section Student Support: Supports fellowships and other awards for both undergraduate and graduate students based on merit and financial need.
In recognition of the importance of annual gifts to the Department, you will be part of the UCLA leadership giving program, the Chancellor’s Society. As a leadership donor at UCLA, you will receive special courtesies based on your leadership level gift. Please click here for more information on the special courtesies associated with each giving level.
Thank you for your support!
