Patrick Wen is a Continuing Lecturer in Scandinavian Studies in the Department of ELTS (European Languages and Transnational Cultures) at the University of California Los Angeles.  His research interests include modern literary history, immigration, crime literature, comparative literature, Isak Dinesen, and film and television studies. His publications have appeared in Lit: Literature Interpretation Theory and Studies in American Culture. His current research projects include a study of John Steinbeck’s influence on resistance movements in occupied Europe during the Second World War.
